I had all of the series except for the 550. The black and white logo XL-12 is an early one. They're both runners.

Is the 550 a somewhat rare machine? I think I passed one by the other day in a scrapyard.

That's a good trade. Is the 550 a somewhat rare machine? I think I passed one by the other day in a scrapyard. They are still around. Parts aren't real easy to find. They have the rubber carb connector boot that can fail. They also can be prone to the center tank partition leaking which causes fuel and bar oil to mix together. The muffler is also prone to corroding badly. Other than that, they're a nice saw. 😋

It didn't have any bumper spikes on it so I looked through my bumper spike kits and found 3 different choices.
