Planning on doing a bar conversion on my soon to be arriving 1103G so that I can use .404" chains. I located a .404" sprocket for the saw, so next task will be locate a suitable bar. Not holding out any hope in locating a 40+" bar with a F014 mount, but I do have access to a nice machine shop to perform a bar alteration. A Husky bar looks like it shares the same slot width, but the oil and tension holes are a bit off. Any other suggestions?

A that bar length, McCulloch bars of the same class of saw are very similar. Just keep an eye on Ebay as they pop up every few months or so. But be ready to spend...

Finally was able to pick up the saw today and it was already wearing a 43" Windsor .404" bar and chain along with a rim rive conversion. Yippie!

Description says it a hard nose so you could use it with .404 .063. Seller may even swap out the chains for a little extra.
