Looks very nice TJ. You did well! A loop of 1/2" would very likely be a sizeable investment but it would complete the look for sure.

Well the good news is that I have a line on Oregon 10AC....bad news is the torture of waiting for a yay or nay on my offer. lol Well tonight I mostly fixed the carb not holding pressure. Replaced the needle and seat with a good oem set and stretched the old spring a little. Doesn't hold much pressure, but it holds the same amount as my 770gs does and that carb doesn't weep or dump gas everywhere so fingers crossed. Better than holding no pressure at all. lol Just need to drill the oil hole in the bar and then it will be ready. 030 by TJ McCauley, on Flickr 031 by TJ McCauley, on Flickr

Well I finally found a 300 driver roll of 1/2 pitch nos Oregon chain. Comes with all the presets to. Bought it from a shop about 5 hours from me. Hopefully it'll be here soon.
Still haven't started the saw yet. haha Been letting the paint cure up really good and with the last row of 100 degree days I think it's cured up quite well. Start up should be happening soon folks!

Well the roll of chain showed up today! Full 25 foot roll with all presets. Pretty happy to have the original box to. Oregon 10ac and it's not chipper so that's a good deal as well. Super excited to make this chain at work in the morning! 002 by TJ McCauley, on Flickr 003 by TJ McCauley, on Flickr 004 by TJ McCauley, on Flickr 006 by TJ McCauley, on Flickr 007 by TJ McCauley, on Flickr Does anyone have a spare 990 serial number plate? The one on mine was broken in 4 pieces and I'd like to find another.

I thought chipper chains had a 10 degree angle? Maybe I'm seeing it wrong. haha

I thought chipper chains had a 10 degree angle? Maybe I'm seeing it wrong. haha Chains around those angles are ripping chains. There's nothing wrong using 1/2 inch chipper chain, it's still going to cut fast as it takes a bigger bite than currently made chains. 1/2 full chisel chain is almost impossible to find. I believe most of it was bought up and used as race chains.
