I saw an add near where my son goes to college, I sent $25 a month ago I finally got to get the saw. I don't like buying anything without seeing it first hand and don't know much about these saws. Seller said it was his grandfathers and he was to interested in getting it going. It was missing a gas cap he said. the gas cap was on it but the bar oil cap is missing. I was able to take an old poulin oil cap and it fit. Put gas in it and i fired up but was why to rich. adjusted the card and it runs very good. Looks like it also needs an air filter and a rubber grommet for the carb adjustment screws. I had no idea these were such a solid saw the whole tank is cast not plastic. the recoil and compression seem almost like new. The cylinder air fins look new also. The bar cover has a serious paint peeling issue. The bar looks to be nearly new to. So way to many Super XLs, a 923 about 70% put back together and this saw. I would like to give it a run soon, I will need an air filter and at least a way to seal the adjustments screws. Really impressed with the build appearance of the saw and the way it runs, it snaps from idle to full power great.

Wow, that is a nice saw for the money, quite a deal. Looks like it was hardly used.

The bar covers wear on those because you have to turn the saw on its side to refuel. Yours has a clear cap, don’t leave gas with ethanol, in it, cap will turn to mush. Don’t ask how I know that....
