I checked Acres and he lists my saw as made 69-71, the picture matches. I thought the saw was much newer. Anyway, here's the serial 273410265 and the UT is 104033, I'll figure this stuff out eventually, thanks, Joe.

Yours was built on line “2”, in in 1977, “7”, on the “341” day, and the “0265” saw built that day.

I have a ez2 ser #45564461 lot #6287, can u tell me when it was built and a place to possibly find parts Hey Larry, I believe your saw was built in 1974 but someone may very well come and correct me on that.
Regarding parts. Depending on what it is you need you may find them at Leon's site. If you nose around there too you will find links to download the Illustrated parts list and other specs & manuals for your saw.
There is also Joyce, known as ChainsawLady here. If you go to the home page and scroll down you'll see where you can put in parts request for her.

I have a ez2 ser #45564461 lot #6287, can u tell me when it was built and a place to possibly find parts Built on the 287 day of 1976. and... this dating system just continues to elude me. I thought the eight number serial numbers it was the first number. Where do you get 1976 from this one? (I don't know why I keep trying.)

Saws with lot numbers = 6287, first digit = 1976 (a leap year), next three 287 = Oct 13

Saws with lot numbers = 6287, first digit = 1976 (a leap year), next three 287 = Oct 13 Ok. So if the saw has a "lot #" than that is used for the date instead of the serial number.?. Anything other than a lot # and it's the serial #, only when it's an eight or nine digit number. What's the odds I'll remember this again in a couple weeks?

The Lot Number is either labeled as such or if there is a UT number, the lot number is the first 4 digits of the 8 digit serial number or the first 5 of the 9 digit serial number, usually, sometimes.
Good luck remembering, let me know how you do it, eh?

I have my fathers SEZ UT104033, s/n 272490334. He bought it new in the 70's.
Any info on this saw would be greatly appreciated. Is the fuel/oil mixture 16 to 1 on this model.
A manual, parts listing would be nice to have also. I'd be willing to pay for legit info.
Thanks, Bruce

It was built on line 2, December 10th, 1978. It was the 348th unit built that day. Acres' site says it is 41cc.
