LOL!!!
OK, you guys cracked me up.
The guy with this saw (here) wants a LOT of money for it, and God knows: it's probably another "project" like that beast in my garage!

I know the saw was on CL but I just do not remember where. Since it appears you do not want it I would appreciate any info you have.

Hi Bill,
The listing is gone. I can pretty much guarantee that it didn't sell (it just expired) so it will probably be back. I am watching fror it. It was out in Cornelius (not far from Portland), and he wanted (drumroll) ... $175.

If the guts are in really good shape, 175 ain't too far outa line. A little high for my spending habits though, but then I don't really have my heart set on one either. I've kinda decided that a nice 995D would be a good saw to have from this series. I haven't got a gear-drive bug going yet, so I'm leaning toward a direct drive model. Don't see too many of these around, direct or gear drive.

I apprenticed with a guy who ran nothing but 900 series geardrives, he had several, only one had enough paint to read the model on, a 995. He tolerated my 797s, but had unpleasent things to say about that 075 I showed up with. He called me a democrat, some people back then had been shot for saying that.

I always look for the 9-26, 9-23, and other original 900 series.
