Recently I've rebuilt two Waqlbro HDC carbs, they both used the same metering plate gasket. Now on my third carb I noticed that the metering plate gasket that was in the SEZ had the other gasket in it.I'm thinking that whoever rebuilt it previously used the wrong gasket. On my first two carbs I used the gasket on the right - those gaskets were in the carbs.Do all HDC's use the same gaskets? One of the carbs went into my 150,the other one went into my old blue EZ.I've got a couple more HDC's to rebuild yet in SEZ's. 20180320_185604 by edju1958, on Flickr

I believe that most, if not all, HDC's on Homelite's do use the one on the right.

Thanks Leon! That's kinda what I figured. It explains why the saw wouldn't run because they had the wrong gasket in the carb. This saw is an easy fix.

Well today turnede out to be an awesome day.I got my order from Leon, this is something I can't figure out - Leon shipped my order on Mon.& I got it today - Wed.That order came clear across the country.I put in another order from another parts supplier in my owen state on Fri.,& I still don't have it.Anyway,I put the freshly rebuilt carb in one of my red SEZ's.I primed it because it was bone dry & it took right off.I adjusted the carb & tilted it from side to sde & even upside down & it ran perfectly.Whoever rebuilt the carb previously had the wrong gasket under the metering plate. That saw will be a great limbing saw. This is my first successful carb rebuild. You all gave me the confidence to do it & I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.I surely couldn't have done it without everyone's encouragement & faith in me.I've got three other carbs that I've rebuilt over the past week or so & I'm waiting for the parts I need to put the carbs back into the saws to see how they'll turn out.I'll keep everyone posted in the respective categories - the 150,blue EZ,& XL-101.

That is great to hear Ed, glad she's running good! Also good to hear I've got a leg up on the competition when it comes to delivery times!
