Take plenty more pictures, only keep the good ones. Toss anything fuzzy or with funky stuff in the background. Both of the ones I like the best are not quite focused, the ones with the full length of the bar. The saw really deserves top notch photos. Very nice. Very nice.

Once I get some sunshine around here I'll get some outdoor photos and try to get the focus better. Using an Ipad lol Thanks man!

I found a bar for my Homelites that was an "M" brand, but that came off with a swipe of carb cleaner, left the gray base coat. You might try that, just a quick wipe with a wetted rag. Mine worked fine with zero damage to the gray. Of course it still has the original brand and part numbers stamped into the steel but that is pretty hard to see. Yeah, the gray has alot of rust spots all over it so it'll get a fresh base coat for sure. May not worry about the letter, but if a stencil kit pops up I'm gonna give it a shot. Some Oregon bar graphics looked pretty good but hard to come by. I ran across these in a 1962 Oregon price list.

I talked to a friend here in town who cuts vinyl letters and makes custom signs. He said he could cut just about anything that he had artwork for. If you can come up with artwork, he can cut a stencil. Of course, the artwork is the tough part. A bar is much easier than decals, the size is not so critical. The stencil part, he would just click "reverse" or something to flip from a foreground to a background. My guess is any vinyl cutter person could do the same, IF they got the artwork.
