That's a new one, the cable anchors in the handle and the trigger pushes on the side of the cable! Who would a guessed?

Yeah, the tab on the right side of the trigger hooks under the throttle cable and pulls up.

Thank you for posting this Brushy! I had no idea about this setup...haven't been into too many saws this new! Leon, if you pulled the left handle on your John Deere CS200(if I got that right) that’s the same setup. The one I’m working on now looks almost identical, but mine is red.

Good to know! I was fortunate and the 200CS ran without a lot of work, but I'll keep this in mind for the future!

Yes, that looks exactly like me installation. I already figured out that the cable sleeve end was installed in the handle like your photo. I never guessed that the cable end fig in the hole like your picture. Does the other end of the cable sleeve fit in a similar slot below the carburetor? This throttle mechanism is really a unique, odd-ball installation.

Bushy - I really appreciate the help. The throttle cable installation is difficult to figure out. I siuspect others may have this problem since everything falls lose quickly when you remove the outer handle cover.
Could you post a picture of the the throttle cable installation in the carburetor area? Not sure how the cable sleeve is held into the slot.

Nice info/pictures but that sure is a poor way to put a machine together. :{(

I agree. Not the most secure setup but it would help if the ipls gave a little more detail on where everything went. I had a rough time trying to figure out where the prefilter goes on this saw. Hope these pictures help darrel.

Bushy - Thank you! I had the carburetor end of the throttle cable correctly installed. Hopefully, your pictures will help others with this odd-ball throttle cable installation. Very difficult to figure out if you take outer handle off & all throttle parts fall out,

Darrel, I just finished up my b2316 and noticed that the throttle cable is a little tight. When I let off the trigger, the throttle shaft on the carb lacks a couple of degrees from returning all the way. Just a heads up.
