I'm impressed! Only put enough gas in it to make sure it fires up,then drain it dry.

Thanks everyone, just finished touching up a nick in the handle caused by a dropped ratchet, actually the ratchet was thrown at the wall and bounced back into the saw, I've been fighting through a lot of pain in my hand. FYI, throwing the ratchet did not help.

Super nice!!!! I can only hope my first paint job turns out like that. (I will be asking a lot of questions when I get to that point). Will look even better with the muffler shield when its done.

I cant thank you enough for the Muffler shield Greg, it really going to set the saw off. I hope I can help you out, just asked or call. I learned a lot with this restoration as well and will make some changes on the next one. I think if I'm a going to use the two part epoxy clear coat spray I am going to use lacquer instead of synthetic enamel, maybe a acrylic urethane I can get the lacquer in quarts at O'Reilly's fairly cheap the acrylic urethane is high dollar. Powder coat is hard, but it tends to chip.

Looks very nice! The detail work looks great! When I did my Super 2100, I let it sit about 8 months before I used it to allow the solvents in the paint to completely cure out. I went to a model train store and got lettering decals of the same size and font to restore the carb adjustment lettering.

I'll look and see if I have the rest of the letter sheet for reference.

Thank you I'll look for a model train supplier, do you happen to know the height of those letters?

I don't remember now. I'll have to try to find the remainder of the sheet.

You could scale sanami's picture, compare the letters to the needles, then measure the needles on your saw and figure the size of the letters from that. You would likely have to change inches to pts or something, or just measure the letters in the store I suppose. Good luck, that is a great saw job, nice work.

I'll just measure the needle grommets to get the size. Thanks
