That is a saw I would like to run, might need some help holding it up though! Great! Very nice. I ran an old two man at a GTG a couple of years ago, what a hoot. Scratcher chain so it was slow and two cylinders so it was all I could do to stand up straight with it. Good thing the log was propped up at a good height. Something wrong with me, I like saws and vehicles that are hard to drive. LOL Get it running!! :{) It truely is getting heavy already haha They were big pieces of iron that's for sure. It's gonna be a chore with a 42 inch bar that's for sure. Gonna be busy all day today, but should have her ready tomorrow!

It runs!!!!! Runs like a champ to! Idles nice and low and has great response. Also the brake and shifter work really well. I'll get a video up as soon as I can. Super excited to get it completely finished with a nice long bar and chain. Been a great resto!

Anyone know of a brand guide bar that sell's in the 40" range with the correct mount? I know oregon has a 42" that seems close. Shop I work at has 2 bars in stock...one just a tad to small and the other to big. Might be able to make the smaller mount one work ok with a bit of filing on the edges.

Saw should take Homelite’s 1 mount or Oregon’s F014 mount. The tail on these is larger than most bars. I can check around.

See if I can get a bar ordered up for it.

Ah ok, I ended up getting the d009 mount and will just file the edges a bit as the mount is just a hair to small. Had another bar at the shop with that mount. Also gonna have to drill the oil holes on the opposite sides.

Don't dawdle when you drill that bar steel, sharp bit, oil, drill press, not too fast with plenty of push. If you fiddle around the bottom of the hole will work harden and you will need carbide to cut it.

Yeah, I had to extend the oil holes on a bar for my pioneer ra so they'd line up. Figured I'd drill a small hole and then use a carbide bit to open it up.

Well the bar is on back order....that really sucks. Hate when co workers order stuff from the wrong places.

Fixed the starter this evening.....ding dong me never checked the spring and I found tonight that it was broken. *Smacks Head* Should done all that before the repaint....Anyhow! Popped a spare spring in and it works fine now. The little starter balls stick once in awhile but I can live with that.
