I have a C7 that was my fathers the cylinder & piston are scored. I have found a C9 cylinder & piston. looking at the parts manual both saws used the same crankshaft, rod and block. Can I put a C9 cylinder & piston on my old C7. This saw will be a user not a display model

Welcome to HOH! The C-9 piston & cylinder will bolt up and run just fine.

Congratulations getting her running. C's can become addictive! Personally they're one of the most fun saws to tinker with. Built like a tank and everything seems to make sense on 'em. Please share some pics, we'd love to see her.
