Well, like the title says, I have a project XL-12 that has a fresh carb kit fresh lines and filters and it won't pull fuel. It will run gravity fed but will not pump from the tank. I have used an ultra sonic cleaner and compressed air to clean the carb body, it's assembled according to the IPL I downloaded from Tillotson. Still won't pump. This was the reason I rebuilt the thing to begin with I have even Reversed the order of diaphragm and gasket, but of course no help. Gas cap on or off makes no difference. Wth is going on? Hopefully one of the Homie folks here can help me before I pull my last three hairs out of my head.

Did you pressure test the carb?

New fuel lines? Cracks will allow in air, preventing pulling fuel.

Pulse port aligned with hole in the gasket? Wipe a drop of oil over the pulse port on the saw and pull it over. You should see the oil film "flutter" from crankcase pressure pulses.

Caeq fuel lines and filter. Pulse jets are opened and allignes from mag ase to plastic manifold spacer to carb Reed valve is working. How do I pressure test the carb? I'm not the best when it comes to dealing with these diaphragm carbs. Don't get me wrong, I can rebuild and adjust them, but it's not my wheel house. Thanx for the help so far.
