Well I wish every Friday night could spent sorting through boxes of new parts! These lots have all the usual small parts, but unlike most found on Ebay, these haven't been pilfered of stuff like coils, cylinders, pistons, etc... The best I've found so far though is a small group of Brown carburetor parts. I can't wait to see what models those fit! P3030001 by Leon Crouch, on Flickr"]

Well I wish every Friday night could spent sorting through boxes of new parts! I just wish I had some extra time to sort through mine. There's just not enough hours in the day.

When you get tired of looking at those, let me know and I'll gladly take that "burden" off your hands!

When you get tired of looking at those, let me know and I'll gladly take that "burden" off your hands! Sometimes I feel tired of it for sure Leon. As you know too well, I'm sure, putting the stuff in a useable inventory list seems almost insurmountable at times. I get a little boost when I dig something exciting out such as a NOS 20MCS piston and cylinder. (Now I just need to find a locked up saw.)

The biggest parts lot I've ever bought was two large pallets from an old Homelite dealer in Alaska. These were standard pallets stacked 4 feet high. I went in with a friend on the deal, so we split it basically down the middle, but it literally took several months to inventory everything. It's fun, but after digging through thousands of little envelopes, it can get tedious for sure! But you are right, finding that one or two parts that you really needed makes it all worth it. In this batch, I happened on a complete carburetor kit for the 5-30N that I got a couple weekends ago. So I'm incredibly lucky...those Brown carburetor kits don't show up for sale very often anymore.

Between work, family time, honey do list and everything else, there's only much ( which is little) free time for hobbies, at least in my case.

The nuts and bolts and screws are pretty boring. I did come across some of those washer-head screws that are used to hold housings and covers on with on the old saws. I was scrounging and borrowing from other saws and now I've got a bag of around 500 to draw from now.

I dreaded the hardware until I got really organized with it...well, I still dread it some, but not as much! There's about 100 part #'s that I always seem to get when it comes to hardware, so I dedicated some storage trays to the one's I have large quantities of instead of storing them in dozens of little bags & boxes. Hardware sells very slow, but having it all sorted and inventoried allows me to easily find new screws for saws I'm working on, whether my own or a customer's.

Hi Greg, A while back Leon sent me a few pictures of his VI Super Mini front handle parts, it looks like it's part #68688 (the inner handle support). I have the outer with rubber bushings. But I'm also missing all the special hardware that goes along with it. Thanks. Steve
