Hi all, I have looked everywere for the UT # and can not find it. Its a super EZ aotomatic- S-EZ 12580510.Thats on the Homelite plate......I can snap a picture of it if its needed. Thanks for any help......

Yep. Tuesday, September 15th, 1981 to be exact. The first digit on a 8-digit serial number is the date and the next three digits are the Julian date. :-)

Just bought a nice running Blue XL1 and was wondering about the year it was built Serial # 3325T078 Type # 50052. Also the saw needs a bar. Does anyone have information on what type of bar I should by for this saw? Would like a bar with a sprocket nose.

Welcome to HOH! Based on your serial number, I believe it to be a 1973 model...but I'd like some other folks to chime in too! The original Homelite bars are getting harder to find, but the current production Oregon K095 mount that is commonly used on Husky saws fits perfectly. Just be careful that you get one that is 3/8" X .050 otherwise you could end up with a .325" setup that won't work well without some modifications.
