Over the last year I have started buying old Homelites. The first was a XL Automatic with a 10" bar and no chain for $25. It ran good, so I bought it and got a chain for it. Next, was a C7 with a 21" bar and chain for $40. It will run if you drop a little gas in the carb, so I figure a carb rebuild and it should be good to go. Last week on Facebook I saw a post for 3 old Homelites for $40 each or deal on all: XL 2 auto, EZ, XL???. He said it was a hard starter but ran good. The XL2 was missing the handle for pull rope, but said it ran last winter. The EZ hadn't been run in a few years. When I arrived I said I was really only interested in the big saw(XL???). He said $60 for all 3. So now I have a total of 5 old Homies. After putting fresh gas and a handle on the XL2 it started on 5 pull. The XL??? also started on 5 pull. The EZ is not running yet. I will add pics in the next few days so somebody can hopefully id the XL???, I think it is a XL800-XL900 series but not exactly sure what. Any service manuals or other info would be appreciated.

Looks like maybe a XL-900 series. I've got an XL-903 that looks very similar.
