I was wondering if there is any love for these orphans. I have a 290 and find it a nice easy saw to use. I'm waiting on getting a 340 as well. I do have a trashed 340 from which I've sold off the coil and recoil P&C wrecked. Hoping the one on the way will be better. You do hear good things about the Solos.
Anyway happy to hear about anyone else's experience with these saws.

i picked up a solo 654 a year or two ago and it ran when I got it, but i never did much with it. I dug it out of the shed last night and cleaned the coil up and it fired right up like it had never stopped. It needs cleaned up and new AV mounts and a spur drum, but its all there and in good working order. I cant decide if I want to keep it and run it or sell it to fund other saw projects.
