I am in Fort Worth Texas and new to this forum; I have a couple of questions regarding the restoration of a Homelite XL2 Automatic chainsaw.
My XL2 Automatic was purchased in 1975 and is in need of restoration. I would like to do it myself but don't think it would look as nice as it would if a professional Homelite restorer did the job. Does anyone know of a good and reputable restorer?
In case I have to do it myself:
Where can I find the correct paint for my XL2?
On the right side of the case (bar side) is a white logo that is painted on. Does anyone know where I can get what would be needed to duplicate that logo?
I have been rounding up parts for it and think I have almost everything I need with the exception of an original 12 inch "Perma-Hard Tip" bar. Any suggestions?
Thank you in advance for any help you can supply.
