I did a search on the net and came up with the Ditzler/PPG number on another post somewhere. That post got lost in my searching but it seems this paintref.com lists every car paint ever used. Well, not quite. They don't list the yellow on my 2000 Chev pickup. They told me at the time it was a special run, the salesman called it "Millenium Yellow". I didn't realize that GM mixed it and forgot about it. Anyway, I found this for Honda Highland Blue paint, oem #PB55M, PPG #14759: paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcodedisplay.cgi?ditzler=14759&rows=50&syear=1974&smanuf=Honda&smodel=&sname=Highland%20BlueI am going to order some of the Honda Blue from a local auto paint store and see what it looks like. I tried to print the paintref.com page to save it but it would not print, guess I will have to bookmark it and save it in the computer. Hope I can find it again when I need it.

Found the 1977 Honda Highland Blue Met here---http://www.automotivetouchup.com/touch-up-paint/honda/1977/all-models/
It is automotive paint wad you will have to clear coat---Just an idea.

Thanks for posting a source Bob! That's not a bad price for an aerosol can, but I'm really thinking about getting a small LVLP gun so I can buy pints or quarts. I've heard good things about this style of gun; next to no overspray.

Leon- That same outfit has paint in pints, quarts, gallons as well as the spray cans. Also 1 and 2 part clear coats in the same. I've used their paints before and very good. Simple to use. I have a few of those guns and well worth the cost- $20.00 - $400.00 Good luck

There was an article in Wood magazine in the last couple of months that reviewed several of the systems, I will see if I can find it. It has a chart listing all the editors grades for various aspects. There are some hints about using them too.

Far less overspray, Dan. Actually, I have three different. The lvlp is my new favorite. Started doing some of this stuff after finishing up treatment for leukemia. An old boy needs a hobby my wife tells me. Retired couple years ago for good. Now losing money playing with chainsaws. LOL can't take it with me.
