I have two of these "Little Reds". The model 10618 has two oil feed lines; the pressure line, and a line from the oil resevoir to the chain oiling port. Easy enough. The 10655 has 3 feed lines, and this is where I am getting a bit confused. The oil out line feeds to a port to the right of the pressure line. Another line comes off about an inch forward and then goes to the chain oiling port. These two lines seem to share a common metal housing. I feel that the problem is some kind of blockage in this housing shared by the oil out line feeds and thefinal chain port line. Have tried carb cleaner sprayed in the ports, but still can't get this area unblocked. Any ideas?

Hi tdinning!
You may have a ruptured pump diaphram.
Your pump is removable and can be taken apart for inspection. Remove it and check the diaphram for holes or poor action on the pump shaft.
You can better clean the lines with it dissasembled also.
Let me know how you make out, and if your still having trouble we can go from there.

Here is the IPL to your saw, well, its for a UT 10654 but it should be similar. On the first page you will see a cover plate with three screws holding it on, this is your pump. The plate is on the clutch side aboce the bar studs. I found the pump cover plate on my own. Didn't see the 3 screws at first 'cause of all the accumulated crud. Pump diaphram and sharf appear OK. The output nipple that goes to the final (longer) hose seems to have a check valve between it and the pump shaft. I can feel it when I move the pump shaft in and out. Should I be able to blow much air thru the top port (the one fed by the tank output hose)? There seems to be an orifice after the pump between the pump and final output nipple, with that check valve between. Can't get much air thru it when I hold a finger over the pump shaft hole and blow thru the top port. How can I tell if that check valve/final output before the hose is clear? Thanks.

Sounds like you may have some wood chips in there? There should a little pressure build up due to the nature of the check, but not too much.
Take a piece of copper wire or a torch tip cleaner (my favorite) and poke aroung in the nipples while spraying some carb cleaner in every now and then. This will help loosen things up a bit and may eleviate the blockage.

I should note that I have twisted the nipples out of their respective seats in order to better clean and understand what I'm working on. Am I blowing air thru the correct port (top-tank output connection), while holding a finger over the hole that the pump plunger goes in to?) Very little air coming out of the final output port, almost as if something is blocking things in there. Can I damage the check valve in the pump shaft hole by poking around in there? What about going in backwards poking thru the small orifice at the final output. I don't want to make it worse and ruin it. Thanks for your help so far, by the way!
