Howdy Folks,
This is my first post here. I cut about 30 truck loads a year and heat with wood. I have a few chainsaws in various stages of repair, some sctually work.
I went and bought a Homelite EZ off of ebay and it aint pretty. I actually have two Homelite EZs.
Broke Blue Homelite EZ: Type 10100 S/N 92690292
Running Red Homelite EZ: Model EZ S/N 33181335
The Red one's tage does not list "Type" it only says EZ.
The Blue one looks like it need just about every rubber gromet around the air clener area as they are either missing or split. One of the rings is broken off right near the muffler so maybe it did not get eaten? I can see no damage on the cylonder but have not torn it down yet. Saw also does rotate and seems to have some compression. Reluctant to run or cycle it because might dislodge a broken peice of ring. I may get by with just rings, there looked to be two of them.
I could use a service manual ans IPL and a good source for parts. Was going to start with a piston kit.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
v/r
Mike

Hi Mike!
Good to see you made it over.
Heres some part #'s for your EZ from the good book....
Ring...65003
Throttle rod boot.....67634 unless you have the three piece fuel line, then use...58348
Choke grommet....64826
Idle screw grommet....68197
Hi-Lo grommet.....68196
As I mentioned earlier, I have the cylinder for that saw, but not the piston or rings. Your piston is probably reusable regardless of wether the cyl is scored or not.
Scored pistons can be rehabbed with some light sandpaper and a new set of rings, scored cylinders are toast.

Thanks RBW,
I will start looking for some rings. It would be good to have the IPL and sevice manual. If you know of anyone who has these I would be interested in getting a copy. I have to finish up a Mac 1-10 I'm working on then I will get to the homelite. Again Thanks
