Hi Guys, I'm not well versed in the history of Homelite, so excuse my ignorance. Did Terry ever manufacture any 26LCS saws? I was thinking Terry came on after the 26LCS, but don't know. According to the Acres site there's no listing for the 26LCS under "Homelite - Terry", and the 26LCS is only listed under "Homelite Corporation", where it says they were made from 1951-1953. I thought Terry came on the scene in 1955? The reason I'm asking is because I just bought a 26LCS that has a Terry data plate on it, and I don't know what to make of it. I've been looking at 26LCS saws for a few months now and never seen such a beast, hence my question. Maybe I'm getting my timing wrong and Terry came into play earlier. Although, on this saw the Model Number/SN data plate says it was made in Port Chester, NY..........so I'm totally confused. As usual. thanks, bob

Nice saw Bob. I thought I'd seen some older Terry ads, but can't seem to find them now. There's one Terry ad on feebay for an EZ, so it's only a few years after when you'd be with the LCS. I did find this in a 1957 Sawdust, so looks like Terry was dealing with Homelite stuff since even before the 20MCS. Dan

Hi Dan,
Thanks for the info......interesting. I got thinking Homelite must have had dealings with Terry before they were chosen to produce saws, and maybe they were distributing before they started making them. But I wonder why they decided to put a Terry ID tag on a saw obviously made in the US? I mean it's one thing to distribute Homelite's products, but why go thru the trouble of riveting your own data plate onto the saw. I find these kinds of historic details interesting, as they explain what was going on back in the day. Thanks again Dan!
regards, bob

Just found another one, so there must have been a lot of them that were distributed by Terry, but made in the US. Still interesting! regards, bob
