I have had my HOMELITE weed eater for years and it still runs great but the head finally came loose from the shaft. I just wanted to know actually how old it may be, it has been a great one.

I've got one of those in my shed and I use it all the time instead of my newer, more expensive ones. I've literally beat that poor thing to death over the years......like 20+ years.....and I can't kill mine. And I've tried. I even look around online for a nice used one to keep as a spare. They were/are a good design that Homelite got right!!

Got ours back in the late 80s from a Howard Brothers department store in Dothan Al. Still cranks in a couple pulls and runs great. Those were some great trimmers.
