Hi Guys,
Another newbie question........thanks for bearing with me. So what was the significance of the early saw model numbers? I know what 26LCS means, but how about 4-20, 5-20, 6-22, etc. I was guessing it was horsepower and bar size.......but then I saw 6-63??? So guessing 63 isn't the bar size. Then there's 7-19, 7-21, 7-29, 8-29, 9-23 and 9-26. There might be others, but I'm just looking at the IPL's that Leon has on his site. So do the numbers mean anything?
thanks, bob

Well 6-63 certainly doesn't fit my theory, but don't the rest of them designate HP-weight? 6-22 is 6HP and 22 pounds powerhead weight? They were a bit before my time but I've come up with that theory somewhere. If it's wrong, I know somebody will straighten me out:)

Ah.......just checked......the 6-63 is titled wrong on Leon's site......it should be "663", not "6-63", so what you guys are saying would seem to work. It was the next generation that had the 3 digit model numbers. Thanks!
