Hey.. I'm putting the connecting rod on the crankshaft on my c 52 and wondering is there a certain way it has to face? There's only a few distinct marks on it but was wondering if it even matters???
Thanks Mike

It didn’t matter which way the connecting rod faced on any Homelite saw that I have built. Pay very close attention to the piston orientation though.
Closed end of the wrist pin towards the exhaust and locating pins/open end of the rings facing the flywheel side.(Not facing the exhaust port)
