Hi... New here, What I have is a c 52 that has a damaged coil... I have seen the coil wires just unscrew from the coil on old boat motors and such and was told this should also unscrew well for the life of me I don't think this one does and now the coil is damaged. Can anyone tell me about removing the coil from the core and replacing it with a new one?

They do unscrew like a typical wire but they are usually glued in and the wire can be brittle and break off. In that case you will need to dig it out carefully without breaking the coil

Good advice from xl130...new coils are very difficult to find, so it's worth the effort to dig the old wire out.

LRB (Lil Red Barn) had a replacement coil for the C series saws at a cost of $49.95 + shipping. You can also check with Bob Johnson - 607-638-9297.
