Crazy question but think cutting wise they will be pretty equal, and the sez/mini is probably more durable due to better PTO side bearings.. Thoughts??

The first thing that comes to mind is "there's no replacement for displacement."
And I've replaced enough of those 65044 bearings in the drive side of a SEZ that I still have the number memorized, that can't be good.
A SEZ has very good power to weight ratio, in my opinion, but there's no way they cut with an XL-12.
And back before overhauls became too expensive, I used to overhaul burnt up SEZ's routinely. Seems like they were more prone to burning up.
I'm not gonna say I've never seen a burnt up XL-12, but it was way less common.

The super ez would be handier ( lighter ) for cutting smaller stuff. The xl-12 would no doubt win in somewhat larger wood

Here’s a couple of videos I made of my Super mini and XL-12. Both 16” bars and cutting similar size wood. I’ve never times it but it’s probably close. Well 14cc's is 35% more displacement but how important is an auto oiler to ya? Personally, I hate a manual oiler only model, which is why I won't bother with an XL-12. At this point just go to an SXL, same chassis with an additional 4cc's and an AO.
