Hello everyone, only been a member here for a few days and I'm not sure if this is appropriate but I bought my saw via an online auction. Estate sale. Came across another one and thought I'd like to share it with others here, as you've taught and helped me find information and I know many of you are passionate about chainsaws and always looking for vintage parts. A collector from Perrysound Ontario Canada. There seems to be a fair amount of variety in this collection. Although I have a limited knowledge of vintage chainsaws. There is approximately 20 Homelite, 30 McCulloch, 40 stihl, also Pioneer, Mall, Lombrad. This auction company does ship but I'm unsure what the cost would be to the USA, as I've seen most of you are from there. At the very least it's neat to look at the older saws. Will post the link below. Cheers ontario.hibid.com/catalog/339239/thompson-online-collector-sale---thursday-january-13th---6pm/

Ok. Now let’s hide this post before more people see it and outbid me in all those saws!

If anyone here bought that Root Whiz with the intent to flip it, I'd be a buyer.
I know, just as well go out and buy a lottery ticket, probably better odds.

I went after Homelite and Pioneer. There was some very rare saw models up for auction. The big Stihls and IEL went for pretty big bucks. That’s was almost as rowdy as EBay. Lots of collectors bidding I would say. Not a big fan of the soft close though.

I would have liked to bid on the super zip and the 660 but figured shipping to Iowa might be pricey. Don't see those saws around here. I settled for an oil can

I would have bought the Root if it weren't for the uncertainty on shipping. They were built by a small family company about 40 miles from me.

Glad you enjoyed looking at the saws and some of you bought something. (Yes prices went high...) I got the Orange Sears carry case for my little XL as I haven't been able to find anything similar around here. My friend is going to make me Homelite decals.

Somebody really wanted that Solo Twin. I'd never even heard of it. Guess I'm not much of a chainsaw collector!

Yeah the Solo and the old Stihl sold high. There wasn’t much there for Homelite. I won the oldest Homie there from what I could tell. It’s missing a few things but looks ok. Apparently it’s not seized. Other than that I have no idea what I’m actually getting.
Just got to get it home now. It’s becoming a bit more complicated than I had anticipated! Until it’s in my yard it’s still a bit of a gamble…

There was an old 900 series, not sure which one, that went cheap enough. I was surprised. I hope one of our guys here got it.

There was a 9-23 that so looked ok and I was tempted to bid on but got caught up bidding on some others.

I have a green and yellow Remington built John Deere in the pile. Guess I need to check what model it is...
