Well it's been a minute since I've worked on saws again but awhile ago I took apart my Homelite 900 or 909(still haven't figured that out) and boxed it up for cleaning. Piston and cylinder were toast from corrosion so off to the races began the search for a good parts saw that wouldn't kill me in price. Well that finally happened today when a craigslist ad came up with this small lot for $40 bucks. Needless to say I'm happy. Not positive on either model of saw as the stickers and tags are gone but both have compression and the 900 series saw's internals looked great. Needless to say I'm excited to make this one run and do some cutting with it. Happy new year folks! 20211231_225424 by TJ McCauley, on Flickr

How come every time I look at Craigslist I only find overpriced junk? Nice score TJ, good to see you on here!

You got all 4 saws in the picture for $40? No, just the two on the bench haha Two on the shelves were projects from a friend.

I think the saw with the bar on it is a 700 Any other signs that it could be? I'll try and get some better photos of it.

Pretty sure it's a 700g. The rounded fuel tank and the rectangle sparkplug cover lead me to this conclusion.

I have good "64" 770G pics to share. I'm having trouble replying and attaching. Pretty sure it's a 700g. The rounded fuel tank and the rectangle sparkplug cover lead me to this conclusion.
