So in November ordered a parts vi200 from ladybug007 on eBay.. Seller has lots of saws for sale, this one was 15$ the 48$ Canadian shipping.. Shipping was steep but wanted the parts.. EBay said it was shipped on the 21st of November, no tracking info, eBay said I would receive it but the 15th of December. Messaged the seller 3 times for tracking number, no response. Anyway the 15th came and went and got ebay to send the seller a message for a refund.. Seller issued the refund an hour later.. Which tells me between not answering me with tracking info and how fast I got a refund guessing it was never even sent.. I'm a little miffed really wanted the parts saw

This seller is notorious for this kind of thing. I used to buy from them. I did not receive 3 saws from them on separate occasions. Exactly the same scenario as you are describing. I wouldn’t get a saw from them again even if they were giving away two free ones to go along.

I bought several saws from her over the past couple yrs. Most of them had something radically wrong with them & I ether got a partial refund,or sent them back. The packing of saws is something to be desired.Kevin,be thankful you didn't get the parts saw,it'd probably wind up damaged beyond use anyway. The bar & chain don't come off the saw for shipping - too stupid to know how it comes off.I have a friend who lives in W.Virginia who bought a saw from her.He didn't get the saw & ended up getting a refund about 3 months later. He reported her to eBay & they never did a thing. The real kick in the butt on his saw was about a yr.later it got relisted,it was the same exact saw.I bought a McCulloch saw from her in early Nov.I'll never forget the model # she had it listed as - 3427-810.I don't know where she got those #s from,& McCulloch never had a saw with that model#.I ended up getting the saw & it was completely seized. The muffler was completely rusted & the springs on the clutch were rusted completely through.I think I bought it out of curiosity to see what model it really was.My best guess is it was some form of 10-10 that was for export.Yeah, she never responds to messages that you send her.She should be kicked off eBay. Edit:Kevin, what saw were you looking for for parts?

Most of Ladybug's crap appears to have spent a few years out in the elements. I recently had a guy tell me that he stops in at a scrap yard in our area every few weeks or so and asks about chainsaws. He said sometimes they have several outside in a pile and he can pick them up for a little over scrap metal price.
I wonder if the Ladybug comes up with saws in a similar fashion? Seems like they have a never ending supply of old crappers.
As far as the complaints of never receiving the saw and sometimes seeing the same saw relisted some time later, I'm guessing that sometimes when they sell one they can't find it. So when they receive the complaint and they know they haven't shipped it, they refund the money then relist it later.

Makes perfect sense to me Brent. She says she gets them at "estate sales".Vt.isn't that big of a state,& even if she went to neighboring states for estate sales,I seriously doubt she could come up with that many saws. So,the elite Ladybug is a garbage picker.Lol

I guess I've gotten lucky...I've bought 6-7 saws from her and they've all met my expectations, but then my expectations weren't real high! Packaging definitely leaves a lot to be desired, one came in with no box at all, just shrink wrap around the saw and a shipping label!

I just checked out some of their listings and was surprised at the number of collectible Homelites they have right now. There are multiple 76's and 130's and an Xl-1. They aren't necessarily what I would call cheap but most did appear to be in at least fair condition.

Noticed her prices have gone way up too, she is selling junk xl-76s for more than I'd sell a runner for

Must be the price of scrap went up at the scrapyard.

No doubt, thankfully I know a few people out in Ontario that I can usually pick up saws for a fair price and I trust the sellers, in fact I'm waiting on another sxl-130 that should be here today

Recently ordered a Pioneer 1200a parts saw from Her. Ordered on the 12th of November 2023 and said it shipped on the 15th, no tracking info. I waited until it passed the shipping window [Nov 22nd - Dec 19th]. Next morning I launched a case against her, and that afternoon I got shipping information. She created the label and dropped it off at the post office only AFTER I got Ebay involved. When it arrived the box was soaked in chain oil, with no packing material besides 1 little piece of foam and some shrink wrap. It was just a disappointing experience altogether.

It’s tempting but stay clear of the green carpet! Sooner or later you get burned.

When I messaged her about the "quality" of her merchandise & how unprofessional her packing was she blocked me.I'd have to say she actually did me a favor.

I'm happy we have a thread going about this seller. I bought my beloved Homelite BUZ from ladybug007 and the experience was actually okay. It took them over a week to ship it and provide me with a tracking number, but once it was marked shipped it arrived within 2 days. As mentioned above, the packing material was somewhat lacking. It took me a good few minutes to remove all the plastic wrap around the handle and powerhead, but there was no real cushioning inside the box. I'm pleasantly surprised the saw arrived without shipping damage! There was no oil in the saw or in the box. The bar and chain were both removed for shipping. I've discussed the saw's quirks in another thread, but the saw had no major issues. I ordered a Lombard 3-16 saw from them a few days ago, and I'll update you guys with the final outcome of the transaction. Still hasn't been shipped yet.
In regards to this seller, I'm proceeding with caution and setting my expectations low. Lots of interesting (and admittedly mouth-watering) inventory in stock, but I'm not going to get myself into trouble here. The consistency in the negative feedback definitely speaks for itself. As I'm sure you guys have noticed, all of their chainsaw item descriptions are identical and hence unhelpful. We have to rely solely on the pictures for this one. They also have a Stihl weedwhacker listed as a chainsaw, which made me literally LOL.

I got my Lombard 3-16 via UPS today, and I'm happy with it. It's absolutely filthy (no surprise) and it arrived with minimal packing material, i.e. just a couple small pieces of foam and a bunch of cardboard. They basically took corrugated cardboard and wrapped it around the saw and then wrapped the heck out of it with packing tape. It wasn't much of a box, but more like a trapezoidal prism (trapezohedron?) Again, the bar and chain were removed on this one. I thought the piston was seized inside the cylinder, but I added some MMO down the spark plug hole and spun the flywheel around with a socket wrench. It freed right up and actually runs halfway-decent with fuel mix squirted down the carburetor throat. The gear drive system appears to be working properly and the chain spins at higher RPM. This saw was made somewhere between 1952 and 1954 and tops out around 4,500 RPM. Slow and steady, just like the 26 LCS!
The shipping speed, however, was painfully slow. I ordered the saw on Jan. 23, it was finally marked "shipped" yesterday morning (March 1), and the saw just arrived today (March 2). I'm not angry, as I fully expected to wait a while based on the feedback, but I'll admit I wasn't anticipating waiting over a month! Still, I'd buy from them again in the future. I'll look elsewhere first though.

In the past I'd gotten a few saws from ol' Ladybug, but I won't deal with her anymore, if it's a 'her'. The packaging always sucked and the saws were always beat to shit, which I generally expected. But after buying a number of saws I made an offer on one that had been listed forever, but was obviously way overpriced. It was a fair offer, and I explained exactly why I was offering a lower price than it was listed for. I think the listing price was $149 and I offered $130. Basically, there was no info posted on whether the saw turned over or was locked up. Nothing on if it had compression or spark either, just that blanket statement in each listing that said something like 'I don't know much about chainsaws', when in reality they know EXACTLY what they're selling. They rejected my offer and countered with $145. In my opinion that wasn't a reasonable counteroffer, as I was the one assuming all the risk in this situation. I've never bought another thing from them since, and to be honest I find spending a few more bucks always gets you a better saw from someone else. The only thing I'd like to know is where do they get all those saws from???

I've seen saws listed on their page with all sorts of missing parts and covered with rust. Many of them are missing bars, chains, flywheels, starter assemblies, ignition plates, you name it! Those saws are often listed for more than 3x what I would pay for a complete saw. As others have already pointed out, it's reasonable to assume that many of their saws come from dumps and scrapyards. I've collected saws from the dump which were in much better condition than some of what I see listed on their page. I keep thinking about Kevin's comment about selling a junker for more than he'd sell a runner, and that is absolutely true. They had another Lombard 3-16 that looked identical to the one I bought but they were asking twice as much (which I think is still listed), so they clearly know more about the saws than their description would have us believe. Mine was probably half-price because the starter wouldn't pull the piston through a revolution. In the end it wasn't a big deal thanks to Marvel Mystery Oil and a torque wrench, but it's a reasonable assumption (Is that an oxymoron?)

Are there really that many saws, that complete, being tossed into the dump?? I've never seen even one at our landfill in the 25 years I've lived here. Maybe there's a lot more dumps or landfills where Ladybug lives.

Yeah, but in the short couple years I worked at the dump it was mostly "Poo-lan" and Craftsman saws that were tossed. I still scored a couple nice vintage Poulans that actually functioned as chainsaws, but nobody ever brought in a Homelite, Pioneer, Lombard, or much of anything else. Just my experience.

Yeah, I'm thinking ol' Ladybug must have a connection to an auction house or someone who owned a small engine repair shop to have that many saws at one time for sale. If you look at what else they sell it's mostly antique snow shoes and the like. I don't know......I can't really think of where someone could get so many older saws to sell continuously.
