I was an active member and passionate Homelite collector and sawyer here up until a few years ago. I do miss this place and the saws and the cutting and the GTGs. Great people here. But life changes and I'm now in a different world where I can't use my saws or show them off/display them as much as I would like to. So I guess I'm going to sell them off before the day comes that my wife or daughter has to do that. The heart of my collection is the 350,360,450,550,650 lineup. I also have dealer catalogs with those saws in them. I had been looking for a 750 to round it out but the only decent one I found was not going to be let go from that family. I understood their passion for it.
My reason for checking back in here is that I was wondering if you think my saws might be worth more individually or as a group?

Hi Brian,it's good to see you here posting again.I think I was just starting out about 4 yrs.ago when you were at the tail end of your posting. Anyway,it's always a sad day when a collector has to let go of his prized saws that he was so passionate about.I know the feeling.IMO,I think you'd be better off selling them individually rather than in a group,BUT....it'll most likely take longer to do so.We have had members here sell their collection,or a portion thereof right here to other members.I think that's a good idea, that way they stay with folks who are serious about saws.Good luck!

Man it's been a while, hope all is well Brian! I'm with Ed, it's likely better to sell individually. Ebay can be a PITA, but you'll probably move them quickly that way. If you have a bit more time, posting pics and prices here, on AS and maybe Facebook marketplace would work as well. Can't hurt to start here...some of those models could be sought after by some folks newer to HOH & the hobby.

Hey Brian, I remember when you found that like new Super 1050, it's been a few years. I've been walking around my garage thinking it's time to let a few, most of them, go. Only thing I'd keep are my Dad's saws, his last 1050. A Pioneer 700, my mint Poulan Super 68. Heck, if I start listing them, I'll keep them all. I think you have to let them go one at a time to get anything out of them. i get most of mine at auctions where I buy several for $15-20. Good luck, and best wishes in the future, Happy Holidays, Joe.

Sell them individually, look for the right buyer, the market right now is weird I find YouTube chainsaw people have driven prices up.. Not sure how long it will last... But it's like someone flicked a switch and all of a sudden a xl-76 is going for 100$ here in Canada, common saw and is a crazy price.. Mcculloch 10-10s are going for 150+ I think BBR has inflated the market.. Lol
