Hello all, I have a 300 classic that is pretty rough and have a few questions. The saw shows 120 psi compression, is that too low for a descent running saw? Will the clutch also work on different Homelite saws? The case is broken where the chain break handle mounts as well as the carb top cover and the brown intake spacer. The muffler also has multiple cracks. It is missing the pyramid air filter. It looks like some backed over it or something fell on it. The piston looks good from the exhaust port. It has spark. I know that this isn't a good candidate for repair, but I hate seeing stuff get tossed. Would you guys keep looking for cheap parts, or find a better toy? Thanks.

Might be the best bet to look for a better toy but if you find a good donor saw that runs, no harm in combining parts to get one good one.
120 psi should run ok and if it's been a while since it ran, it will likely come up some after it runs a while and gets all lubed up again.
Clutch should fit 250, 252, 300, CS40 and CS50 I believe. They're all pretty similar saws, just different variants and vintages.
