Hi Guys, I'm having trouble identifying this saw..........can someone smarter please help? Can't find a starter cover decal with a white "7-something" that has a black "something" under it, and the blue-green handle is throwing me. The spark plug cover is the rectangular 700 series type, as is the tank with the air filter vents on the back like Wiz Super 66. But I'm a bit stumped. I only have this one pic, so no clutch side to pic to help. Any heap would be appreciated. thanks, bob

It looks like either a 707d or a 770d to me. I assume the I'd tag is missing? It would be on the right side

Hi ronaldt, I think you're real close. Looking at the Chainsaw Collectors Corner saw profiles it appears to be a 770G, as that one has the blue-green covering on the handlebar. It sold this morning online for $25, with the appropriate bar and chain. But I contacted the owner just a few minutes too late.....and it was already sold. Thanks for your help!
regards, bob

If the recoil pulls in a counter clockwise rotation, it's not a gear drive

If the recoil pulls in a counter clockwise rotation, it's not a gear drive Good catch. The saw in the picture is definitely a direct drive saw.
