You guys gotta get out more often,Lol.I did a Google search & found a fairly decent write up on the 8ten chains & even had an unbiased video on the chains on OPE.The 8ten came in 3rd place behind Stihl & Oregon, but at half the price.I gues I didn't do too bad then - 3 chains for $30 + $8.50 shipping for 20 in.loops.

I'd say they're in the same league as Archer...not bad for Chinese made stuff. I just bought an Archer 28" bar and chain for the Pro Mac 800 I'm working on. The bar oil holes were full of paint that needed scraped out, but other than that the initial quality is good enough.

I quit buying Archer products back in March when I bought a 28 in.bar for my Mac SP81 & the tail stock wasn't machined in far enough.I had to file it out till it fit.I notified the sales rep about it & he told me that I shouldn't have bought the bar to begin with because it wasn't made to fit Mac saws (it was a D176 mount bar).I got into quite a discussion with him & told him that I'd no longer be an Archer customer because of their cheap Chinese crap.

Yeah the one I bought was the same way, but it was again paint build-up in the stud slot. Interestingly enough the listed fits on the package do not include the Mac's. Most aftermarket stuff is that way...one step below the OEM or reputable OEM suppliers. I found that same thing with reproduction parts for my 65 Chevy. They are usually 95-98% correct and whatever isn't quite right can be made to work, but it annoys the hell out of you!
