Hello, It’s getting chilly so time to start messing with some of my old saws. I picked up a quartet of Homelites consisting of two red XL-12s and two red Super XL Automatics. I have a very nice late 60’s or early 70’s blue XL-12 and was planning on keeping just one of the four red ones as a compliment to the blue. All the reds are in great shape, have compression and appear lightly used. I decided to keep one of the Supers because of the great overall condition. The Supers have Homelite SN tags while the XL-12s have Homelite Textron SN tags.
Any idea the general age of the Supers vs the XL-12s?

The other 2 depending on the reading of the # is this. The 8 digit w/ a 3 is 1973 The 9 digit w/ a d is 1982 I believe but possibly could be wrong.

Thank you. I realized I forgot a “1” at the end of the 8 ( should be 9) digit SN so it should end with 111. Sorry about that. Guessing that puts it in the same are bracket as the other?

Perfect! Thank you. I’ll be keeping the August 1976 and selling the others. Thanks again.
