Picked up a non running 330. Seller said it's hard to start and keep running.
Does anyone know iif the replacement intake boot is made of better material than the original?

They're made with modern material and are resistant to almost everything

If this is your 1st 330 you're going to want to change all the oil and fuel lines since you'll have all of them exposed to do the boot. Oil pump is a known issue too that may need attention. Fun saw though.

This will be my 3rd 330. The first one I bought new in the late eighties. Great medium size saw. Didn't like being stored in my Knaack box for 20 years.
When I pulled it back out to take care of a tree that had blown over in my yard it wouldn't start. My XL started right up with new fuel. Cut most of that tree with the xl and another brand started. Shortly after that I found Leons video and got the fever. Replace the boot and the lines. Did not rebuild the
carburetor and the saw ran great again.
