I need to buy a chain or two for my big saws and unfortunately I've never had much exposure to .404 chain.
I have a 36" 750 and a 37" 1050 and both are in need of a new chain. Both are .404 pitch.
I looked through an old Homelite products catalog and see a 107 link loop but it doesn't call out a bar length. It's listed for 550, 925 and 750.
I pulled the old stretched chain off the 1050 which is out to the end of the adjustment and it seems to fit the 750 too, it's just a bit farther back in the adjustment range on it.
So does anyone know if both these saws are supposed to use the same 107 link chain? My old chain counts 107 links but I have no idea if it's been shortened, I'm guessing probably so.
Also, a second thing I noticed in the old Homelite products catalog, it lists 2 different 31" SP bars. One is an H5 mount and is listed for 410, 925 and 550. There's also an H2 mount that listed for all the same models plus the 750. Anyone know what the difference would be? My 36" is the H2 which is the only 36" bar listed for a 750 but I thought they were all the same.

Yeah we buy from Frawley's but I figured someone here would have the answers. I can buy custom made loops 15 miles down the road too but they're higher. That's if they still stock .404 chain.
