It's a long story behind this one.Back almost 1 1/2 yrs.ago there was a member here who bought several hundred saw & spent a good amount of money doing it.I was "lucky" enough to get a few saws from him.I had 2 of them, shipped across Canada to another member who used to vist occasionally & he was going to bring them to me on his next visit in the spring......then Covid happened. The border was closed & still is,so I finally contacted him & asked to have the saws shipped here.I was originally going to save arouind $50 by having them shipped across Canada & then brought to me.Long story short,I got an XL-76 delivered today. It has a hybrid coil/module in it & it has no spark.I was told to remove the red "chip" & just install a regular chip & the saw will have spark again.I'll check it out tomorrow. The saw has good compression & it's not missing anything.UT# 50150.All of the IPLs on Leon's site are UT 50108.I'll get pics of it here tomorrow.Basically,it looks the same as the XL-103 by the oil tank.

Sorry, the thread should say XL76 Finally Arrived Today,if a moderator could please change that I'd be much obliged.
Update - I got spark back on the saw today by putting a new chip in it.I then proceded to put a new fuel line in it.The saw runs, but doesn't idle worth a hill of beans.I thought it had a Tilly carb, but after a closer look I found it has a Walbro in it.The Walbro is being yanked tomorrow & I'm putting a Tilly HS125 on in it's place. One thing's for sure - the auto oiler works great, there was quite the puddle of oil on my driveway just with the test runs.Pics to come,I'm trying to find a bar for it.

I bought a couple of 76's with 2 parts saws and one of them had an SDC carb on it. I think they subbed carbs occasionally due to shortages from the carb manufacturers.

I took the Walbro carb off & to satisfy my curiousity I took both covers off to see if I could find anything awry. The pump side was good, just some minor dirt in the inlet screen as to be expected. The metering side however I think was the culprit as I took the cover off & the metering diaphragm just fell off as if it wasn't hooked onto the lever. The HS125 that I was going to put on the saw had 2 issues - the choke lever's hole for where the choke rod hooks into wasn't big enough for the choke rod,the other thing was the idle screw was missing the spring.I thought of drilling the hole out bigger to accept the choke rod,but the idle screw problem made me change my mind.I just happened to have another HS125 on hand that was good to go,but was missing the fuel inlet screen,no biggie there. I put the HS125 on the saw & in a few pulls it started.I had to adjust the hi & lo to 1 3/4 turns out & the saw has a high - low surge to it & I can see air bubbles in the fuel line going to the carb.I was suspecting crank seals, but I'll check the position of the fuel filter first.Sorry, still no pics, too busy today.Tomorrow I'll "borrow" a bar if need be for a pic.

Well wouldn'ty ya know it,I borrowed a bar from another saw for the pics & took the pics, but when it's overcast here my phone doesn't like to send pics, even though the phone co.brags on how they have 5G nationwide.I remember a while back I took pics of my C9 & they never came through.I had to retake them 3 times before I got them in my email.
