I picked up this old zip from a garage sale, it was literally barn fresh, cleaned it up good and she fired right up, only issue is when you go to shut it off by the kill switch it shocks the heck out of me? Is this due to a bad switch? Or bad ground? Any help will be great.
Serial # 1921760 there's a B before the numbers on the plate, iam gonna assume that's the color indicator?

You'll probably need to check to see if you're grounding the wire with the sparkplug wire, does it sputter when it shocks you as though it's grounding out?

The B proceeding the serial number just means it's the second series of zip saws. The original zips were made from 1958- 1962 I believe. The next zips were referred to as zip b. There were also zip 5 and zip 6 saws.
