For anyone painting a 1970's era Homelite "Red" chainsaw, I have found a good match for you. Go to your local NAPA store and request a Martin/Senour rattle can paint of code 51026. It is a very close match to the correct color (really orange with a very slight hint of red) It seems to be a good quality paint, but good preparation and a GOOD LONG dry time are imperative to a good outcome. Hope this will help anyone trying to dial in a good matching color!

A NAPA store that mixes and sells Martin Senour paints for automotive use. They mix it in store and load up the spray can on the spot. Check to see if another NAPA store has these paints in your area. NAPA has been offering this in some stores, and it is a handy service.
