Posted over in the Super 2 section but thought I might put it here too.
Have a Super 2 with pointless ignition. Seemed to run last fall but tried to start today and no luck.
Fist thing I checked was spark plug no spark even after cleaning it. Tried a couple other plugs and still no spark. Removed plug and inserted drill bit and held close to the case, yeas this is a metal case Super 2 and even held it near the muffler. Only time I see any signs of spark is when drill bit is less than 0.005 from muffler and then only a weak spark. Hold it back even 0.015 and not the slightest sign of spark.
Did this with the kill switch wire disconnected just to be sure switch was not bad! Coil to flywheel gap is 0.010.
Unless someone has other ideas on fixing this I'm assuming that the coil/module is bad. I did not remove the plug wire as it seems to be permanently attached, suppose at this point I don't have much to loose so might just get a bit violent with it?
Assuming the ignition is the problem anyone have suggestion on a replacement? I did some Google search on that part number and see prices from $10 to $79! dollars.

Well I just "bid" $14.99 on one in Kentucky I'll see if that price is accepted. See that most of the ones listed are to be shipped from China. I know that is probably where all them are made but just prefer to get from a stat side seller just on the chance there is a problem.
