Well guys I may have over done it.I bought the C-72 at auction today. I talked to the owner who said it was a good runner last used two years ago.I found no corrosion, had a bit of fuel in tank and has good compression. I paid $210 for it. Someone else thought it was a good saw also. Has a good roller tip bar and ok chain.its not pristine but hasn't been abused. I think I still did ok.

Checked spark and it is weak. Prolly need to get to the points and clean them up.Piston does have some scoring but owner said it ran ok. Airbox was clean. I did wash out and blow off air filter.

Did you get the c-72 going? My brother has one that has been sitting a couple of years now. Thinking about trying to get it going. Did all c-72 have points? May try and put a carb kit in as I see there are some still available. think it has a nearly new after market bar on it.

Unless someone put a chip in it the saw should have points and condenser. The RK88HL kits are still available OEM or aftermarket.

My C-72 is up on a shelf with the other Homies. I've been workin' lots of hours and youngest son is playing basketball at least thru Feburary.
