Were there ever any Canadian/Terry built Super Mini chainsaws built in the "West Coast" version with the special muffler/ full wrap handles? How about any US built?

I think Leon has a super ez automatic that is a west coast edition, if I remember it's on his website under "Leon's person collection"

As best I have been able to discern, the Super Mini models were made in the US-but only for export. The Super Mini models made in Canada were sold in Canada and exported, but NOT to the US?? Oddball iteration of the Super EZ saws that differed ONLY by the side cover decals and serial tag?

I was always under the impression that Super Mini and XL-1 was Terry made in Canada......but I suppose that I overlooked the European market.

Does anyone have and example of a Textron built super mini? Or xl-1 I'm with xl130, thought it was a Canadian only made saw

I think I have seen at least 1 US built Super Mini with a US Charlotte ID/Serial tag. I recall it being marked as a Super EZ/Mini.

I have seen quite a few pics of Mini's with full wrap bars. I think all of them were in BC.
I have never seen one with a muffler cover or an air filter cover without ribs like Leon has on his.

Crazy name games. Maybe Darrin Stevens was working for Homelite!

quick question. i always thought the west coast saw was a kit, not a model. muffler, full wrap, and a few other parts for increased performance. or was there a specific model that was sold with these parts already installed?

Think it was just dealer installed optional equipment, and was just full wrap and a special spark arresting muffler, I don't believe there were and performance difference

Interesting points-Likely many full wrap bars, special mufflers were dealer or later installed. But there are some US factory built Super Ez West Coast chainsaws with an "A" suffix at the end of the UT, which designated them. A Super Mini is certainly a Super EZ with different decals on the side covers. The marketing strategy is interesting for the Super Mini, maybe slanted toward racing fans?? Formula 1 was becoming populular in Montreal beginning in the early 1970's. Also Can/Am and Trans Am series!
