There's a book on ebay and amazon called "Chainsaws: A History" that looks really cool, has anyone read it? I'm curious if it covers much about Homelite's history.
Also is there a homelite "must have" bible type book out there maybe that covers homelite's history in detail?

Guess that's the book by David Lee. Very nice book, but there's only half a dozen or so pages devoted to Homelite and most of those pages are pictures. It is certainly worth having if you like saws though. Personally, I think the best history is in reading "Sawdust" and "Chainsaw Age" articles. Many thanks to undee70ss for scanning (I think), Joyce (chainsawlady) for providing the literature, and Leon for hosting, a tremendous number of "Sawdust" are available here: www.leonschainsawpartsandrepair.com/homelite-literature--information.html"Chainsaw Age" covers many saw manufacturers, but if you can find 'em, there's some great Homelite related literature. Unfortunately, I don't know any sites where these are scanned and available for download. Dan
