I noticed that I was getting low on 16 in.D096 mount bars,so I went onto eBay & did some searching.I found an older style Oregon D096 bar for $29.95 or MO.I offered $27.50 & got it & was well satisfied. The seller just contacted me with an offer I couldn't refuse - 6 more bars for $100 + free shipping on all 7 bars! That comes out to $18.21/bar.From the seller's description these bars were made in Canada (like that really matters to me,Lol).

I got all 7 bars today & was a bit nervous. It dawned on me that maybe the reason I got the bars so cheap was because they might be hardnose bars.My nerves were calmed when I opened the box & found them all to be sprocket tip bars. The sprockets were starting to seize a bit on a couple bars from sitting around for a lengthy period. It was a good day!

On a 16" bar, I doubt you would notice much difference between hard and sprocket nose. Those banana nose bars are getting harder to find.

The banana nose was supposed to reduce kickback, but it was a bad idea, as the nose wore quickly and you couldn't flip the bar over.

It's an anti-kickback design. Bad thing about it is you can't flip the bar over, well not worth a hoot anyway.
If any of y'all ever come up with any Oregon Laser Tip bars in 20" or even 16" that you don't want, let me know. We haven't had near as much trouble with the tips flying out of them:)
