I picked up 4 more C series saws a couple weeks ago. Didn't really "need" them but the price was right. There are 3 C-5s and the one with the big bar is a C-51. I did some cleaning on the C-51. I swear that was the filthiest saw ever, but with hardly any tinkering it is a good runner! One of the C5's has an auger attachment. I might consider parting with that. PM me if interested. Overall it was a good score! Attachments:

Nice looking saw Ron!There are only 3 C series saws that are absent from my collection - C51,C52,& C72.I think the C series saws are my favorite of the Muscle Saws that Homelite made.

Of all the saws I have (over 300),not one of them is a gear drive.I'd love to get a gear drive saw.

I am fortunate to have acquired every one of the C series direct drive saws. I would really like to get my hands on a C gear drive. I've only seen a C5g in pictures. Acre's site says Homelite built other models of the C series in gear drives but I'm skeptical. Anyone know?? 🤔

I wonder how many models of the C series actually came out of the factory as gear drives and wore the "g" decal? It would be great to see some pictures of these if they exist

I think that since 5Terry is this site's official historian he should be able to give us some insight/input on the gear drive discussion.
