Hey guys, When flipping the reed on an intake that was factory installed with the drive nails, is it best to replace the nails with a screw? This is an early Super 2?

I really don’t know. If the reed was bent and not sealing. Flipping the reed, there is always the chance the reed could crack.

After removing the reed fasteners and flipping the reed, I just used the same fasteners to reassemble the reed and reed stop plate to the reed block. It is possible to tap threads in the reed block and use new screws. I think 8-32 fits.
