I have been doing some more cleaning and checking of my newly acquired 330, and have discovered what I believe is a mismatched chain/bar/sprocket that I would be grateful for some advice on.
The bar fitted is an Oregon sprocket tip style marked 8744 HKN 160--- D196. The sprocket is a rim drive .404 7 which is worn, and the chain is a 60DL Oregon marked 72. By my reckoning I have either the wrong sprocket or chain, but I don't know if the bar is correct for .404 or 3/8.
I believe the standard fit for a 330 was a 3/8 combination so initially I am considering getting a new Oregon 3/8 7 rim drive sprocket, but want to make sure I am going down the correct path.
Can anyone help me with this query?
Many thanks, Steve

Rim drive is incorrect. 330’s never had 404.

Thanks I thought as much. I have rechecked the bar again and found a 3/8 marking on the replaceable tip (should have looked there earlier - doh) so I am now sure the rim sprocket is wrong. Oregon's website indicates the right product for a 330 is a 68210 so I will be getting one of those.
