Not sure which bar that is I couldn’t get the link to work. I will say I bought one little red barn bar for a SXL 925. Bar seems to be ok it’s held up good but like everything else branded lrb I had to tweak it to make it work. The bar slot was too narrow I had to file a good bit to get it to go on.

That is the 28” bar & chain combo. What size bar did you get? What size are the studs on your 925?

I bought 28” bar and chain. It has 3/8” stud but the slit seemed to be 5/16”. I actually measured the slot before I milled it out I just don’t remember how much to small it was. I’m thinking 1mm maybe 1.5. I got the measurements from an NOS Homelite bar I have and milled it to that

Yup I had the same problem. I’m sending it back. I’m not too interested in cutting up a brand new bar that I paid for. Works for 5/16 studs. None of my saws are 5/16.

I’ve purchased two things from LRB that was the LRB brand and both had to be modified. Because of that the chances of me buying anything else have been greatly diminished.

LRB gets whatever they can really cheap, then marks it up (probably double what they paid,if not more) & then passes it on to the buyer.I bought a bar & chain from them a little over 2 yrs.ago for an Olympik saw.I did not get the bar & chain I was supposed to,but it fit & works OK.I don't know what brands they're currently selling, but at the time it turned out that I got a Raisman (sp?),which I believe is made in Brazil.

I'm guessing Chinese all around. Some of the bars aren't bad but most of the chain is pretty third rate. xl130 The one from little red barn will cost about $140 CDN to your door. Cutters Choice in London can do about the same with an Oregon Power Match clone (German made) in a large husky mount D009 and a Laser chain which is Carlton chain, shipped to you for about the same price and is great quality. I've bought quite a few bars and chains from them. The bar can be turned into a D096 mount in about 10 minutes with a 7/32 chain file.

Will he interesting to see if they honour a full refund. Hard to imagine how they could not refund as they are selling an item that clearly does not fit the models listed in the listing ...

What brand of chain did it come with? Performance Saw Supply, by LRB The ad shows what appears to be Oregon LGX chain ... - 1 Does not fit listed model ... - 2 Not as advertised, should not have to modify a guide bar or piston to "make" it work ... strike - 3

I guess it’s always a bit of a gamble when you buy cheap aftermarket but this is a bit rediculous. The EBay listing says that they have sold over 30....You’d think that someone else must have complained?
I bought the Archer bar and it fits pretty good. It’s not a true Homelite bar mount but it fits and oils without any modifications. I think the bar tip is interchangeable with Oregon tips so that’s a bonus.

I recently purchased a 24" bar for my SXL AO from Stens "Silver Streak" bar and it fit fine . It is made in China , like most cheap products available from LRB and others . I'm a casual user , but I brought Oregon chain , so I will see how it works out . The second picture shows the Stens mount on the right compared to 2 D096 mount bars . Charles

That is crazy to have to deal with that kind of problems with new stuff!! I don’t really want to start a big bashing session on LRB. Definitely not my intention.
I haven’t bought anything else from them.....well actually I bought their SXL piston and it fit ok. I roasted it though. Most certainly that was my fault.
I’m sure they have some good stuff that’s well worth the money but this bar is a flop in my opinion. Bottom line is if you have a Homelite saw with 3/8 studs then don’t buy this guide bar. They should really specify that in the listing.

Finally got this issues somewhat resolved. It took about 3 months from the purchase date and about 6 emails and 6 phone calls to hound them and remind them that I had sent the bar & chain back for a refund. They finally gave me some of the money back. No refund on the shipping to me or on the return ride. Now that it’s all done with I can easily give these guys two big thumbs down. I’ll avoid them like the plague in the future. Terrible return process! Don’t buy this bar & chain!! youtu.be/0OX7dOwP0zY

I've bought only one bar & chain & that was for my Olympik 254 about 2 + yrs.ago.The bar & chain fit OK,but it wasn't the one that was advertised on eBay.I also bought 1 coil & 3 ignition modules & they all fit & work properly too.I've heard good & bad about their piston kits, but have had no experience in that dept.

I’m sure they have some excellent parts. Just pray that you don’t ever have a problem with anything that they sell you. The return process is a step into the void....
