Sorry y'all! Absolutely new to this site. Actually first site I've every actually joined. Is this where or how I post a question? Anyway, I've gone through every YouTube video and Google search and have yet to find a saw that looks EXACTLY like mine. Lot No. C7010 UT No. 100453 Are the ONLY numbers on the saw. It has a Homelite SDC carb. I don't know how to post up pictures.. sorry! I'm technologically challenged! I'm wanting a new 20" bar and chain but can't find any viable information. Are ALL Super XL's the same? I'll be cutting Black Locust with it, so any chain type recommendations for this saw would be great. I've owned and worked on many types of saws but this is my first Super XL so I would like to do it justice!!! Thanx for y'alls time and enjoy the site and the limitless information!!

I think the chain in that combo is a likely a Vanguard safety chain or whatever they call it these days.
The bar is the right one but you might want to buy separately and get an EXL or LGX Oregon chain.
I believe black locust is very hard but have never come across it.
The chains I listed are full chisel and I don't know how well they maintain their edge in that stuff.
If the wood is dirty you might want to get a semi-chisel chain.

I have several new 20" Homeelite bars PT-20381-G5. Your Super XL was made for a time with the same number as yours. This created problems for everyone keeping records. Whenever we sold these saws we added the day of the sale on the saw and if more than 1 a day would be number1,2 etc. They finally came back with a different number again. You can probably buy a new chain locally. It will take 70 drive links. Will contact you lsaer. chainsawlady
